Check In: A convenient and secure way to stay connected with Apple Messages

Messages, the built-in messaging app for iOS devices, introduces a new feature that makes it easy and safe to notify your friends and family when you reach your destination. Check In is a feature that lets you:

• Automatically send a notification to a selected contact when you arrive at your destination
• Temporarily share useful information with your contact if you are not making progress, such as your location, battery level, and cell service status
• Protect your privacy with end-to-end encryption for any information shared

Check In is expected to be available later this year, along with iOS 17 and new iPhone models.
