Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni: A square robot vacuum mop with advanced features

Ecovacs has launched the Deebot X2 Omni, a square robot vacuum mop, at the IFA 2023 event. This device is a premium upgrade from the previous model, the X1 Omni, and a price tag of €1,399 (around CA$2,042).

The Deebot X2 Omni stands out from other robot vacuums with its square shape, which enables it to clean corners and edges more effectively. It also has a slim design of 9.5cm in height, allowing it to access hard-to-reach areas under furniture.

The device is equipped with dual-laser lidar technology that enhances its navigation and obstacle-avoidance capabilities. It can map multiple floors and rooms and create virtual boundaries for customized cleaning.

The device also boasts a powerful suction of 8,000Pa and a mopping function with auto-lift and hot water self-cleaning features. It can automatically adjust the water flow and suction power according to the floor type and level of dirtiness.

The Deebot X2 Omni comes with an Omni auto-empty station that takes care of charging, emptying, and cleaning the device automatically. The station has a large dustbin capacity of 3L and uses disposable dust bags for hygienic disposal.

Ecovacs also adds a longer roller brush and introduces a voice assistant called Yiko 2.0, which it claims is more responsive and better at detecting your input. You can control the device with voice commands or through the Ecovacs Home app.
