Amazon Studio unveils official 'Coming 2 America' trailer

It's been YEARS since I had seen the original Coming to America. The film starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall opened in theatres in 1988 and became a box office smash grossing over $288 million in total worldwide. It was translated to over 25 languages and has been an iconic movie. Now the highly anticipated sequel, Coming 2 America, is set to have it's global release in over 240 countries exclusively on Prime Video on March 5, 2021.

In the original, Eddie Murphy plays Prince Akeem Joffer of Zamunda, African royalty who lands in Queens (New York) to find the ideal wife. However, who he was in search of was a woman who loved him for him - not for his title or riches. He takes on a job at the local McDowell's burger joint and learns much about the American culture. It is also where he meets the daughter of his boss. The predictable outcome doesn't stand in the way of this fairy tale story that fans love to watch over and over again. Both lead actors play more than one character within the film which makes this a real gem even to this day showing their incredible range and talent.

Aside from working on the sequel for Black Panther, Ryan Coogler will be creating a Disney+ series set in the Kingdom of Wakanda. The writer/director/producer's company Proximity Media signed an exclusive five-year television deal with Walt Disney Company to develop this show and other series that might appear beyond Disney+ and even the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The agreement extends to the entire Walt Disney Company, so his team might produce shows for other Disney-owned networks and streamers.

"Ryan Coogler is a singular storyteller whose vision and range have made him one of the standout filmmakers of his generation," said Bob Iger, executive chairman of The Walt Disney Company, in a press release. "With Black Panther, Ryan brought a groundbreaking story and iconic characters to life in a real, meaningful, and memorable way, creating a watershed cultural moment. We're thrilled to strengthen our relationship and look forward to telling more great stories with Ryan and his team."

You can now use the iPad's handwriting feature in Canadian French

Source: Apple

The latest developer beta version of iPadOS adds new language support for the iPad's handwriting feature, which means more users can get more out of the Apple Pencil. The languages supported include Canadian French, Italian, Portuguese, French, German, and Spanish.

Through the beta, you can now use Scribble to write in any text field using these languages. It also supports Smart Selection, meaning you can easily select, cut, and paste words from one document to another and have your written note appear as typed text. And the iPad's data detectors will also now work with handwritten text in these languages so the system can recognize things like phone numbers, dates, and addresses and make it easier to do quick action with these pieces of information.

Apple iPhone users—especially those whose unit has no other biometric security option other than Face ID—have been left to key in their passcode when they open their devices while wearing masks. While it's a more tedious problem than anything else, it is still an inconvenience. Apple has a provisional solution coming out. The new iOS 14.5 beta update will let Apple iPhone users who also have an Apple Watch quickly authenticate and unlock their phones with the wearable.

This feature is already available on the Mac, but now iPhone users will get access to the function, too. It will require that you have wrist detection enabled on your Apple Watch because you need an unlocked Apple Watch nearby, "on your wrist, unlocked, and protected by a passcode."
