'Advance Wars' remake gets April 8 release date

Nintendo is finally ready to launch Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. During its recent Nintendo Direct event, the company announced that the remake would arrive on April 8. This remake bundles the "reimagined" versions of Advance Wars and Advance Wars: Black Hole Rising. 

The two titles first came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and 2003. It was initially supposed to launch on December 3, 2021, but the developers delayed the release to polish the experience.

Nintendo delays 'Advance Wars' Switch remasters to spring 2022

Nintendo's remasters of the first two Advance Wars games won't be coming this December. Instead, the company announced that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp for the Nintendo Switch will arrive sometime in spring 2022. According to a tweet from Nintendo, "The game just needs a little more time for fine tuning." Nintendo has "reimagined and rebuilt from the ground up," so perhaps that's why it needs a bit more time.
