New Apple Campus 2 video shows compound in its nearly done form

The new Apple Campus 2 is near completion and a new video taken by Sexton Videography shows the massive compound and the many cool outdoor features to it—including solar panels that can possibly turn the Apple Campus into a self-sustaining city. Not only does it show the main circular structure, there’s also a glimpse of the saucer-like underground auditorium, a gigantic 20,000-car parking lot, R&D center, and many more.

New drone video shows almost complete Apple campus

Now we’re getting to see how close Apple’s new campus is to completion. This new Apple HQ is set to open sometime next year and features a circular building with a 100,000 square-foot fitness center, 11,000-car parking garage with solar panels. Of course, it also has a gigantic auditorium to play host to future Apple events. You can see how far construction has gone if you compare this fly-over video from early 2015 with the one above.

The latest look at the Apple Campus 2

A new drone flyover video from Emory Peterson and aerial photography company Above Reno shows us how far the new “Apple Campus 2” is progressing. Shot in 4K over Labor Day weekend, it shows how much progress has been made so far in building Campus 2. It’s scheduled to be completed by late 2016.

Aside from having the circular structure at the heart of the campus, this new facility will house 300,000 square foot of R&D facilities, a 1,000-seat auditorium, a parking structure, and other building surrounding the main structure. Apple plans to move around 13,000 of its employees to the new campus. You can keep track of the construction’s progress in the timeline here.
