iPad Air Plus and iPad mini 4 rumoured for 2015 release

If reports are to be believed, there will be a new bigger iPad and iPad mini replacement coming out next year. Mac Fan claims the iPad Air Plus is reportedly a 12.2-inch tablet running on an Apple A9 processor. It will feature four built-in speakers on each edge of the case so you get stereo sound no matter how you rotate the device. It will be shipping either in April or June of next year.

Meanwhile, the iPad mini 4 will reportedly be the iPad mini and iPad mini 2 replacement and will come with an Apple A8X processor. We have yet to verify how accurate these rumours are so as usual take these with a grain of salt.

New rumours surface of a 12.2-inch iPad Pro

Apple hasn’t confirmed that a larger screened iPad is coming out but that doesn’t stop the rumour mill from saying there is one on the way. Calling it the iPad Pro, it will reportedly have a 12.2-inch display that will have a thickness between 6.9mm and 7.1mm. It is said to carry the same design language as the iPad Air 2 and might even have one pair of speakers and microphones at the top and bottom of the device. It is expected to make its appearance in 2015.

Report claims Apple to debut iPad with anti-glare displays

Aside from new iPhones, new rumours have surfaced that Apple plans to introduce new iPads. Bloomberg reports there will be a new 9.7-inch iPad that will be introduced near the end of the quarter and a 7.9-inch iPad mini coming out a few months after that. These new tablets will reportedly have anti-glare screens. This might make its debut around October when the rumoured smartwatch will be introduced. Of course, we have to take this with a grain of salt at the moment.
