Apple Retail Store opening in Markham's Markville Shopping Centre on July 27th

A new Apple Store is opening at the Markville Shopping Centre in Markham.
The grand opening will be on July 27 at 9:30 a.m.,  if you’re one of our first 1000 customers, you’ll take home a free commemorative T-shirt from Apple.

Apple Store in Oakridge Mall robbed by bear spray-toting thieves

Reports are stating that three men armed with bear spray walked into the Apple Store in Oakridge Mall, Vancouver last Monday and attacked 40 customers while making off with various stolen iPods, iPads and notebooks.

The suspects were said to have fled in a car. Five of the customers had to receive paramedic care from the Cayenne pepper based chemical spray which stank up the store and surrounding areas for a long time. While this is the first such incident in Canada, there have been a few forced entries and even robberies at gunpoint in other Apple Stores. The biggest one being an armed robbery in an Apple Store in Paris, France where thieves took the store for $1.3 million in products.

Apple Retail Store coming to Waterloo, ON this Saturday

An Apple Retail Store is opening up in the middle of RIM country. The Apple Retail Store Conestoga will be up and running on 550 King Street North, Waterloo, Ontario N2L 5W6 this Saturday August 13th. Doors open to the public at 9:30 a.m.

We took a quick tour of the Eaton Centre Apple Store in downtown Toronto earlier today to get a better idea of what visitors can expect.
