Some Apple iMacs 2013 and 2014 models are now obsolete

Apple has updated its vintage and obsolete product list to add a few products. Several 2013 and 2014 iMac models have been designated obsolete by the company. They were previously on the vintage list, but now under its new designation, it means these computers are no longer eligible for repair. The obsolete Macs include late 2013 21.5- and 27-inch iMacs, mid-2014 21.5-inch iMac, and late 2014 27-inch Retina 5K iMac. Apple typically renders products obsolete seven years after they were last on sale. All hardware service is discontinued for obsolete products, and service providers can't order parts for these devices.

Apple has also marked the Apple Watch Series 2 as vintage, joining the original Apple Watch on this list. Vintage products are those that Apple has stopped distributing for sale (typically between the fifth and seventh year since they launched). Apple can still service and provide parts for these devices up to the seventh year. But repairs are also subject to parts availability.

Review: Apple Watch Series 2 and watchOS 3

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

With the water resistance, GPS and improved battery life the Apple Watch Series 2 becomes an even more personal wearable but more than a gadget or accessory, it can really help keep your fitness goals front and centre if used properly.

Apple Watch Series 2 removes a lot of the ambiguity of its predecessor and is now honed to be a better all-around fitness tracker with a built-in GPS and improved water resistance that should please users who want to take it swimming or go for runs or bike rides sans iPhone or iPhone Plus.

First impressions on the Apple Watch Series 2

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Apple has figured out a few things about the Apple Watch and its users and the result is the Apple Watch Series 2. Looking very much like the first-gen Apple Watch (which is still availble with an updated dual-core processor), the Series 2 does have some minute differences that are easy to miss. Here are my impressions after three days of use.

Series 2 is a bit thicker than the original Apple Watch because it now has a larger battery, built-in GPS as well as water resistance for up to 50m. There's an extra microphone hole and this is used to expel any water that may have seeped in during a swim.
