‘Game of Thrones’ gets a new tie-in book series for final season

We’re down to our final season of Game of Thrones. And in case you want to hang on to the world of Westeros a bit more, there will be a tie-in book series for Season 8. It’ll be a four-volume series, and it’ll take us on a behind-the-scenes look at the show. The books, which will be released by Insight Editions, will put the focus on different aspects of GoT and how it was brought to life. The first one is the Game of Thrones: The Storyboards. It’s done by lead storyboard artists William Simpson and will be released on May 28, 2019. And then the three books coming out in the fall are The Art of Game of Thrones, The Photography of Game of Thrones, and Game of Thrones: The Costumes.

Canadian artists and apps get named as part of Apple’s Best of 2015

What do big Canadian artists like Drake, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd and the apps Lara Croft Go! and Dark Echo have in common? They’re among the best of the best Apple has chosen for the year. While we couldn’t beat Adele’s comeback album “25” in the top spot, the second and third spot in the Top Albums go to Drake’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” and Justin Bieber’s “Purpose,” respectively. Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness” clinches the seventh spot.

When it comes to apps, Canadian-made turn-based puzzle game Lara Croft Go is named the iPhone Game of the Year. Its close runner-up interactive fantasy novel Weirdwood Manor hails from Toronto. And even the Most Innovative Game for the iPhone Dark Echo comes out of Vancouver. If you want to get your hands on the best of the best, you can check the full list per category in the following links: Music, Apps, Movies, Podcasts, TV, and Books.
