'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' won't be available on Steam at launch

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will only be available on one third-party store for the PC, the Epic Games Store. The game will also be launching on Ubisoft's Uplay, Google Stadia, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 this Holiday 2020. It will be the first mainline new installment of Assassin's Creed that will skip Steam at launch.

Epic Games Store will let you pay for your purchases in CAD

You don't have to worry about huge price differences when paying for games in the Epic Games Store now. The digital storefront now accepts Canadian dollar alongside the Australian dollar, Danish krone, Norwegian krone, and Swedish krona. The additions now mean the Epic Games Store accepts 15 currencies. PC Gamer notes that prices on the store now also match Steam's prices.

Epic Games Store to offer 'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate' for free from Feb. 20-27

It's a good week to check out the Epic Games Store. Epic will be offering Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Syndicate for free between February 20 and February 27. If you haven't gotten your hand on this 2015-era game, it might be worth checking out Epic's deal.

Canadian-made 'The Messenger' game will be free on Epic Games from Nov 14 – 21

 

For a limited time, indie game The Messenger will be available for free on the Epic Games Store. The game from Quebec City-based indie developer Sabotage Studio will be free to download from November 14 to 21. The Messenger is a classic action platformer that follows a ninja who traverses a cursed world to deliver a scroll that can save his clan. The player will find himself travelling through time with the aesthetics quickly jumping from 8-bit to 16-bit visuals.

The Messenger first came out on the PC and Nintendo Switch in August 2018 and came to the PlayStation 4 in March.
