There’s a ‘Game of Thrones’ edition of the Samsung Galaxy Fold

In case you didn’t think the Samsung Galaxy Fold couldn’t get more expensive, Caviar decides to give the phone a pop culture makeover. They’re creating a version of the phone that’s inspired by the recently concluded show Game of Thrones and George R.R. Martin’s next book, The Winds of WinterThe foldable phone is customized to look like a book. It's stylized in front “into a cover of the long-awaited book." The front and rear panels feature exquisite bas-relief that’s covered in gold and shaped to represent different major houses of Westeros. There’s even an etched map of the said world at the back. When folded, it can be locked with a gold clasp.

The inside and its specs remain similar to Samsung’s original model. This means you still get the Galaxy Fold with a Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB internal storage. It has a quad camera setup at the back and dual front cameras. The battery is still at 4,380mAh. With no official word yet when Samsung plans to relaunch the Galaxy Fold, Caviar can’t announce when it’s version will be available. But the luxury brand said it’ll have a simultaneous launch date with Samsung. How much will this set you back? A very cool US$8,200. On the plus side, Caviar is offering free worldwide shipping for the units, which are very limited in number. There will only be seven units of this phone.

George R.R. Martin gives update on ‘Game of Thrones’

HBO

With Game of Thrones reaching the end of its run, we might have to say goodbye to this part of the story but we aren’t saying goodbye to Westeros completely. There are a handful of shows in development, which A Song of Fire And Ice’s writer George R.R.  Martin detailed on his blog for a bit. The author of the books which inspired Game of Thrones previously announced that we were getting five spinoff shows, which he refers to as successors. HBO has ordered a pilot for one of them, which Martin says he shouldn’t call The Long Night and is sent thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones. That series is expected to begin shooting this summer with Defenders and Jessica Jones’ S.J. Clarkson directing.

But aside from that one show, Martin claims two other projects are also “moving forward nicely.” These two are still in the script stage, but are “edging closer.” Whether all five shows get made isn’t certain. And what these stories might be about, Martin won’t go into detail. Instead he says, “maybe some of you should pick up a copy of Fire & Blood and come up with your own theories.” The book is about the history of the Targaryens in Westeros.

George R.R. Martin releases teaser of new 'Game of Thrones' book with new chapter

Hoping to quench fans's thirst (or agitate them further), author George R.R. Martin released a new chapter of the next book in the A Song of Ice and Fire saga. As you know, these books are the basis for the hit HBO show, Game of Thrones. The released chapter focuses on Sansa Stark, a now well-loved character.

Unfortunately, we aren't getting the rest of the book any time soon. Martin previously said the book won't be coming out this year so 2016 might be the earliest will get The Winds of Winter book. He is known to take his time with releasing GoT books. The gap between A Feast for Crows and the latest A Dance With Dragons was six years.
