Save attachments directly to Google Drive from Gmail

Aside from adding new quick action buttons, Google has also introduced the ability to save email attachments right into your Drive account without having to leave Gmail. You could preview attachments before but now this integration lets you transfer files without the need to download documents, photos, and the like to your PC. You can only access this feature using Gmail native app and it will be available to Gmail users starting next week.

Gmail adds more quick action buttons 

Google’s Gmail service has added more functionality to the email app with more quick-action buttons that appear beside the email subject line. Dropbox folder and Google Docs can be accessed through quick actions; Seamless users can rate and review restaurants by clicking the review button; YouTube and Vimeo videos can be opened through the view video button; and OpenTable lets you edit your dinner reservation through your inbox.

Apple Mavericks update fixes Gmail bugs

If you have been suffering from Gmail-related issues after you to OS X Mavericks, Apple has released an update to get rid of the bloated inbox issues, inability to manage mailbox, and inaccurate number of unread messages. The new release said they remedied an issue "that prevents deleting, moving, and archiving messages for users with custom Gmail settings" as well as the wrong unread count.

Gmail for feature phones get a redesign, offers easier email handling

Google hasn’t forgotten its feature phone users with the new redesign of Gmail for feature phones. The latest version makes it easier to send and receive email, including letting users reply directly from the thread view; easy switching to other conversations; and reducing the number of buttons needed to press to create and read email. 

You can access Gmail using feature phones just by typing mail.google.com into the mobile browser. It has been particularly useful for Gmail users in developing countries.
