Microsoft Bing adds search image matching

It took over two years but at least Microsoft finally lets you search using images. Bing will let you conduct search using a particular photo through an Image Match button that shows different sizes of a picture. This will be helpful for those who need specific image resolutions to work with.

Bing adds Pinterest boards to image search

Microsoft has announced a partnership with Pinterest in hopes of capturing the Google market. If you use Bing to look up images, a new feature called image collections shows related Pinterest boards at the right side of the search results.

Snaplay aims to become the “Shazam for images”

You know how Shazam makes it easier for you to look for that elusive song? Snaplay, a reverse images search app, wants to make it easier for you to look for videos and music online using photos. Acting much like a QR code reader (sans the QR code), Snaplay lets you take a photo of an album cover or movie poster or the like and have the app bring back related media content.

On the video side, it integrates with YouTube; while for music, it integrates with Spotify or uses songs you’ve stored on your device.
