First look at the Apple iPad mini 4

The new laminated display, which was introduced with iPad Air 2, now makes images pop even more on iPad mini 4 and viewing the display outdoors is way less painful than with previous versions.

The iPad mini 4 has been slimmed down and powered up. Apple's smallest tablet was briefly mentioned during the iPhone 6S, iPad Pro and Apple TV launch event a few weeks ago, but it wasn't even on display at the demo area, this is likely because the focus had to be on the iPad Pro. Apple's littlest iPad now comes up big in terms of key hardware as well as software improvements.

Samsung launches Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones aimed at consumer and enterprise

 

Samsung revealed its dual flagship phones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. Featuring an all-Gorilla Glass case that covers the front and the back the new S6 devices no longer offer removable batteries or expandable microSD card slots. They do come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities when they come to 30 countries. 

Featuring 5.1" quad HD Super AMOLED displays, the S6 and S6 Edge both run on a Quad 2.1GHz +Quad 1.5Ghz Octacore applications processor and 3GB of RAM. Samsung is focusing on design and materials this time around and the new Galaxy S6s are expected to be the most durable and well-constructed devices we've seen from Samsung. Pricing is similarly expected to be premium. Remember, the Note Edge costs $900 off contract.

Rogers starts roll out of LTE-Advanced network

Rogers is bringing the next evolution of wireless technology to its users with the roll out of LTE-Advanced network. LTE-Advanced combines 700MHz and AWS spectrum to allow for faster download and video live streaming on tablets and mobile phones. The initial release will be available in 12 cities (Calgary, Edmonton, Fredericton, Halifax, Hamilton, Kingston, London, Moncton, Saint John, Toronto, Vancouver, and Windsor) with more markets across the country to follow.

Hands-on with Rogers $80 United States Talk, Text & Data Plan

Roaming charges are the result of a nasty oversight that could have been prevented.

They are often exorbitant fees that creep up like last months cold and, if not taken care of, can ruin what could have been an otherwise wonderful getaway.

You see many of us, in the rush of vacation preparation; forget to call our respective carriers to add that insurance policy.

We then proceed to scream to the high heavens when we use our devices as if we’re home and then proceed to receive a bill with charges that could likely equal the average mortgage payment.

I feel your pain.
