Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 to get wireless hotspot feature soon

Nokia has stated in their official blog page that there will be an upcoming wireless hotspost feature coming to the Lumia 800 and 710 Windows Phones. The update will be available via the Zune software and will allow Lumia users to share their 3G data connection with various devices via WiFi. Thanks to Nokia for thinking of adding this feature which will make these phones more useful to users with notebooks and tablets.

The Nokia Lumia 800 is one of this year's important handset releases. It is the first result of the collaboration between Microsoft and Nokia and it is also the first major release to run on the latest version of Windows Phone 7.5 codenamed Mango. 

The Lumia 800, exclusive to Telus for $24 on a three year plan,  is a flagship device that showcases Nokia's vast experience in making compelling smartphones and also shows off a more mature Windows Phone OS.

Windows Phone Mango update finally rolling out

The much awaited update to Windows Phone, version 7.5 codenamed Mango is starting to roll out. We tried our devices but the update was not yet available although Microsoft says it should be out soon. With hundreds of new features and improvements, Mango is a more competetive mobile os that Microsoft hopes will take some market share from Google's Android and the iPhone. Below is part of the press release on Mango.

Starting today, the next version of Windows Phone is en route to customers. Code named Mango, the update will gradually ramp so that it will be available for free to most existing Windows Phone customers by the end of October. Video: Windows Phone Mango Previewed

We just came from the X'11 event, Microsoft's big pre-holiday XBox show and had the opportunity to check out the next update to Windows Phone. This one is codenamed Mango and it is sweet, social and smart. Best of all, current Windows Phone owners will be able to update to Mango directly from their PCs without any manufacturer or carrier delay, hindrance or hassle...take that Android! Mango ripens sometime this Fall.
