Get Instagram photo backgrounds on your Michael Kors smartwatch

In a couple of days, the My Social app for Michael Kors will let you use photos from your Instagram feed to become your watch face. That is, if you own one of the brand’s Access watches, specifically the Dylan and Bradshaw models.  The app will be coming to these smartwatches via an over-the-air update on April 25th. The video above shows just how you can make the change. You just need to sign into your profile, select the photo you want to use and the filter for it, and then select the watch style.

There’s no word yet if they plan to integrate other social networks into the app or if more models will be added. It makes sense to start with Instagram though as the app has visually stunning images with some users opting to use the service as a visual portfolio of sorts.

Android Wear gets a touch of high fashion thanks to Michael Kors

There have been various representations of Android Wear devices but many have been lacking the fashion forward design and materials that watch aficionados and style-focused users are attracted to. This isn't surprising since many of the companies creating Google's Android Wear compatible devices are consumer technology or mobile companies, their sensibilities are an extension of smartphones and PCs.

Companies like Fossil and most recently, Michael Kors is changing all that. Michael Kors new Access Line is truly luxurious yet functional and add some pizzazz to what is feeling like a tired segment. The Android Wear Access watches start at CAD $420 and go up to CAD $475. They come in both dressy and sporty versions plus have a variety of fashionable faces but with all the useful complications and notification capabilities expected from Android Wear. The Access Line is available for sale online right now.
