Moto 360 is coming on October 31 for $279

Motorola's Moto 360 will be available in Canada starting October 31 at Future Shop Online atwww.FutureShop.ca and in store at TELUS and on www.TELUS.com for $279. Moto 360 combines the conveniences of Android Wear such as notifications and the ability to run searches, navigation and manage apps as well as health tracking features. New Android Wear update for Moto 360 reportedly improves battery life

Owners of the Moto 360 wearable will be happy to know that a new system update for Android Wear (Build #KGW42R update, bringing Android Wear to version 1.0.1.1448224), supposedly improves overall battery life for the Moto 360. Streamlining processes for the light sensor and bluetooth connectivity, the update aims to fix one of the more dissapointing aspects of what still remains to be the most interesting wearable device under Android Wear. Android Wear devices getting 4.4W1 over the air update

Android Wear device users should expect a minor although expected over the air software update. The 4.4W1 update coming to the Moto 360, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live brings a range of features and functionality. What we know of so far are the latest version of Google Maps with alternate destinations, built-in controls for multiple repeating alarms. This isn't yet the bigger expected update to Android Wear which Google says will enable users to, ".... listen to music stored on your watch via Bluetooth headphones. And if your watch includes a GPS sensor, you can track your distance and speed too."

Chicago: Motorola is no stranger to the wearables market. It actually pioneered the health tracker segment a few years ago with their MOTOACTV  device, which focused mostly on music playback, health and exercise. When the company decided to create a smart watch ( a term their designers seem to dislike), they went back to the drawing board and looked into what a traditional timepiece had to offer.
