A new Rogers customer solution centre will open in British Columbia

Rogers is set to open a new customer solution centre in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Toronto-based national carrier sees this as an opportunity to create new jobs, help boost the local economy, and strengthen its "presence in the province." With the opening of the new centre, internal recruitment will begin in Q1 2020, with external hiring starting in the spring. Rogers aims to add 350 new jobs in the centre, which it wants to grow to 500 over time. The B.C. employees will be in charge of "roughly one million customer interactions each year."

The company plans to open the customer solution centre in the summer of 2020, with renovations to upgrade the 32,000 square foot space to a "modernized centre" starting early in the same year.

Android 10 is tipped to land on Pixels on September 3rd

It looks like the final version of Android is coming real soon—tomorrow, to be exact. Canadian carriers Rogers and Telus leaked on their support forums information that the Pixel phones will be getting the latest version of Android on September 3rd. Both have since taken out this info, but the release of Android 10 is imminent. The final beta for Android 10 was released a month ago. Google said at that time that the public rollout was "just a few weeks away." Plus, Google's Pixel phones usually get first dibs on the latest version of Android. This newest version of Android might be hitting more smartphones in a timely fashion as over two dozen phone manufacturers were rolling out beta versions of the operating system.
