eSports content coming Sportsnet NOW and Sportsnet 360

Sportsnet announced an exclusive Canadian content deal with ESL (world’s largest esports league) to run esports content on Sportsnet NOW & Sportsnet 360.

Rogers also announced new peering agreements with some of the top e-gaming brands in the world: Valve (creators of Steam), Riot, Blizzard, Xbox, and Playstation Network, so that Rogers Ignite internet customers can enjoy fast, smooth gameplay and an optimized gaming experience over the network.

Launching this fall, esportsTV, will be available exclusively in Canada on Sportsnet NOW. In addition, a weekly esports news, highlights and analysis program will air on Sportsnet 360 beginning in July. Additional details will be announced at a later date.

The BlackBerry KeyOne is coming to Canada next month

The TCL-manufactured BlackBerry KeyOne will be making its way to this part of the world next month. It’ll be coming to Canada first on May 18th and will be available through Bell, Bell MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, and TELUS Business for $199 with a two-year contract. It’ll be making its way to the US as well at the end of next month for US$549. They will be selling unlocked versions in the US but Sprint will be offering the device later this summer.

The KeyOne takes inspiration from the BlackBerrys of old with its own physical keyboard. It’s an Android 7.1 Nougat-powered smartphone that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. It has a 4.5-inch touch display, 12-megapixel camera, and 3,505mAh battery. The KeyOne also comes with BlackBerry’s suite of productivity apps.

LG V20 comes to Bell, Fido, and Rogers on March 9th

Looks like the LG V20 has been getting the attention of Canadian users. LG Electronics just announced that it’ll be bringing the V20 to three more carriers on March 9th. It’ll be coming to Bell, Fido, and Rogers. According to a press statement from Shelly Walia, brand manager for Mobile Communications at LG Electronics Canada, “The positive reaction post-launch in October drove us to secure additional Canadian partners. We’re proud to partner with Bell, Fido, Freedom Mobile, Rogers, and Videotron to ensure people have options.” If you’ve been waiting for the V20 to get to your carrier, now seems like a good time to buy a unit.
