Huawei P20 Pro Twilight variant comes to Canada starting Sept. 6th

Twilight is coming. Nope, not the vampire movie. We’re talking about the iridescent, gradient colour of the Huawei P20 series. The Twilight version for the P20 Pro is coming to our shores starting September 6th. It’ll be available through Bell, Rogers, TELUS, and SaskTel. Huawei was able to achieve this interesting shade by applying eight alternating layers of oxides and nitrates on the glass. They made use of five layers of colour coating, one diamond-like carbon layer, and two layers of anti-fingerprint coating. If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on this version, then your wait is almost over.

Sony Xperia XZ2 comes to Bell and Freedom Mobile

Sony Canada has just announced that its newest device: the Sony Xperia XZ2 has landed on our shores. It’ll be available through Bell and Freedom Mobile as well as many The Source locations across Canada. For contract pricing, the Xperia XZ2’s plan on Bell starts at $299 on a Premium Plan. It comes with a $200 trade-in offer that runs until the end of June. Outright pricing through Bell is at $1,099. If you get it through Bell, the carrier promised to bring next generation network speeds to the Xperia XZ2.

Now, if you want to get it through Freedom Mobile, it starts at $0 on a MyTab $20 and $50 plans. Outright pricing through Freedom is at $1,000.

Sony Mobile and Bell promise increased Gigabit LTE speeds on Xperia XZ2 devices

Sony and Bel say Canadians will be able to experience the next generation of network speeds with this ground-breaking smartphone starting in late spring of this year. While this is not 5G, it represents the fastest performance on 4G LTE networks where hardware supports it.
The new Xperia XZ2 features the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with X20 LTE. The Xperia XZ2 brings a new haptic experience, adding the perceptual sense of touch so you can feel your viewing and listening experience. Canadians will be able to feel every beat, action and reaction with Xperia XZ2. Sort of like 3D touch that the iPhone has had for two generations now.
