Nokia's got something to say at MWC 2014

 

With Mobile World Congress happening in Barcelone in a few weeks away Nokia's one of the first to send out invitations to media. No hint of what they will announce but it should be interesting since Nokia's historically had a strong presence at that particular show.

SwiftKey Note keyboard app for iOS leaked

Long revered as one of the best mobile keyboards available for use on Android devices and tablets, even going as far as licensing its software to BlackBerry for the BB10 OS, Swiftkey keyboard, or some form of it in a new app, may now be finally seeing its way onto Apple's iOS platform.

Although not much is known in regards to an official release, prolific technology leaker @Evleaks, who is known for being spot-on with his scoops, posted the image above on his Twitter account moments ago. Stay tuned for more. We highly doubt this is purely a replacement keyboard for iOS, it is likely a standalone app.

First Look at Meizu's MX3 smartphone from CES 2014

Meizu's MX3 is a 5.1" smartphone that's set to challenge the phablet segment with an 8-core processor and 2GB of RAM running their proprietary Flyme OS 3.0. No North American availability for this bad boy but Meizu has told us they have a model in the works for North America. For the markets that will be getting it,  the MX3 does offer an interesting alternative for users who are tired of the usual same-old, same-old from manufacturers in the large smartphone space.

Lenovo gearing up to acquire IBM's server business

Lenovo and IBM  have entered into a definitive agreement in which Lenovo plans to acquire IBM’s x86 server business. This includes System x, BladeCenter and Flex System blade servers and switches, x86-based Flex integrated systems, NeXtScale and iDataPlex servers and associated software, blade networking and maintenance operations. The purchase price is approximately US$2.3 billion, approximately two billion of which will be paid in cash and the balance in Lenovo stock.
