CES 2013: NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 4 to be twice as fast as Tegra 3

NVIDIA's new Tegra 4 mobile processor is expected to take smartphones and tablets to a whole new level thanks to its LTE-enabled quad-core architecture which has 72-GPU cores. This translates to twice the speed of the current Tegra 3 processor and an abundance of performance for a SoC (System on a Chip). What is more impressive is improved battery consumption with NVIDIA stating 45 per cent less power than the Tegra 3 in “common use cases” as per reports.

The Tegra 4 has also been designed to enhance photo and video functionality in devices for an even better generation of smartphone cameras. Hit jump to get the specs on Tegra 4.

CES 2013: Lenovo sets up for Table Computing with IdeaCenter Horizon

Lenovo's off to a blazing start for CES 2013. They've already shown off updated Ultrabooks including an Ivy Bridge powered 11-inch IdeaPad Yoga convertible and the new ThinkPad Helix which is a snazzy 11.6-inch tablet and Ultrabook convertible that also flips 180' degrees and uses the base as a stand. This contorting Windows 8 Pro features Pen input via stylus.

Fujifilm launches X100s and X20 Digital Cameras

A few days before CES 2013 and Fujifilm's already made some major product announcements with the release of the X100s and the X20 which bring a new dose of retro-goodness while adding some significant feature enhancements. The X20 (pictured above) now comes in both black as well as silver bodies. It features a 12 megapixel 2/3-inch X-Trans CMOS II sensor and a f/2.0-2.8 4x manual barrel zoom lens. The X100s maintains the same good looks of its iconic predecessor but now boasts the industry's fastest auto focus of 0.08 seconds, a first for fixed lens advanced point-and-shoot cameras. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced. We just hope Fujifilm continues to sell the older X100 and X10 models at cheaper price points as those are both superb cameras.
