Monday, June 13, 2011 at 8:39PM A whole new tablet platform comes next month when HP launches the TouchPad which will be coming to Canada on July 15 together with the HP Pre 3 on Rogers. Here's a little sample of what webOS looks like on a 10.1" inch tablet. Looks pretty sweet and boy is it fast.

Canadian startup mySpark Technologies just won the York Technology Leadership Awards (YTA) for Start-Up Company of the Year. mySpark Technologies designed a high-performance Android tablet geared towards teachers, students and administrators ranging throughout the educational structure K-12, colleges and universities.

Fujifilm is hardly mentioned in the conversation involving the best semi-pro point and shoot cameras, but it should be. We hear a lot about the stellar and compact Canon S90/S95, the Nikon P7000, the Panasonic Lumix LX5 and the Olympus XZ-1 as the all-around compact cameras to consider. BlackBerry PlayBook owners should look out for a new 1.0.5.2342 software update (278MB) that specifically fixes an issue with Flash 10.3 that affects a number of devices across platforms (tsk, tsk, Flash). RIM has turned this around quite quickly and this is a good sign that they're on top of the software end of things. We just installed the 1.0.5.2342 update on our PlayBook and have not noticed any improvements or extra features but we will keep testing.
