Google Pixel Foldable might be delayed to 2023

We heard a lot about different hardware during Google's recent I/O conference. But one gadget the company didn't bring up is its rumoured foldable. Reports claim that the device is still in the works. Ars Technica pointed out the "isPixel2022Fodable detection flag was spotted in the Google Camera app alongside flags for other Pixel devices.

New reports are claiming the foldable is delayed for another year. This new 2023 target schedule marks the second time the rumoured foldable has been postponed. It was initially supposed to come out last year with a release alongside Android 12L or 12.1, a tablet and foldables-focused version of Android. But it looks like the company ran into trouble making the hardware.

'Fornite' brings back giant pink mech for June 4 live event

Epic Games

Fortnite's latest season is about to end, so Epic Games plans to close the season with its next live event. Called "Collision," it will kick off on June 4 at 4 PM ET. You can queue up for the "be there or miss it" experience 30 minutes before it starts.

It isn't clear what you can expect, but the giant pink mech from 2019 might be making a comeback. It's already been spotted on the game's lobby screen while a giant tower is erected at the center of the map. Aside from being part of the experience, attending players during live events get an exclusive in-game loading screen and music track. If that's something you want to see, mark that date.

Oura partners with Gucci for an 18-carat gold smart ring

Gucci, Oura

Oura's smart ring gets a high-fashion boost with the brand's latest collaboration. The company partnered with fashion house Gucci for the Gucci x Oura Ring. It features black synthetic corundum bearing the famous interlocking "G" logo and a braided torchon pattern. These patterns are both in 18-carat yellow gold. This smart ring comes with Oura's latest Generation 3 tech, allowing you to monitor your heart rate, sleep, activity, and more.

The ring weighs around four grams or 0.14 ounces, but it can do big things like read your heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature. It supposedly measures your heart rate more accurately than wrist-based smartwatches. As a premium wearable, you're expected to pay US$1,100 (approx. CA$1,412), which thankfully includes Oura's "Lifetime Membership" subscription, so you don't have to worry about another subscription service. But if you can afford it, you probably don't worry about your subscriptions too much.
