Microsoft to host Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase

Source: Microsoft

While there won't be an E3 event this year, Microsoft plans to hold a gaming event in June. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will be held on June 12 at 1 PM ET. There aren't too many details about the event, but the company says it "will include everything you need to know about the diverse lineup of games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem, including upcoming releases to Game Pass on Xbox and PC." The teaser art for the showcase has an Xbox logo floating among the stars, suggesting we'll hear more about Bethesda's upcoming sci-fi RPG Starfield.

Ubisoft stops online support for 91 games

Over the past year, Ubisoft has halted online support for 91 games. That means multiplayer components associated with these titles will no longer be accessible. You can't access any achievements or unlockables attached either. As The Verge mentioned, support for these games didn't happen all at once and won't necessarily impact all platforms. Many of these are old titles that are no longer playable on modern machines, so you don't have to worry about that. Some of these titles include Tom Clancy's Endwar, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, Beyond Good and Evil, and more.

'Tales from the Borderlands' to get a new game this year

You don't have to wait too long if you've been waiting for a new Tales from the Borderlands game. Gearbox and 2K will release the sequel this year. But it'll feature a new story and adventure. Gearbox will be made "in-house," unlike the first title developed by the now-defunct Telltale Games. It'll be published by 2K. We don't know much beyond that, though. There is no release date yet, but there will be a full announcement this summer.
