Sony will sell PlayStation 5 covers in Jan. 2022

After shutting down third-party PlayStation 5 console cover makers, Sony will offer its own options for US$55. The console covers will come in Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue. It will work on both the PS5 Digital Edition and the PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray drive. "Simply remove your original white PS5 console covers and click your new ones into place," the company said.

The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red options will be available starting January 2022. It'll be coming to Canada as well as the US, UK, France, China, and Australia. The other three models are coming sometime in the first half of next year.

'Halo Infinite' to get a dedicated Slayer playlist on Dec. 14

Halo Infinite is getting a "basic" version of one of the series' most popular multiplayer modes. According to 343 Industries community lead Brian Jarrard, a dedicated Slayer playlist will be released as an update on December 14. It won't be the variants the studio promised to release after the holidays, but 343 plans to "bolster and expand" this playlist in the future.

Nothing Ear (1)'s black edition to go on sale through its site on Dec. 13

After the initial release during Nothing's pop-up on December 4 in London, the Nothing Ear (1) black edition will be going on sale over at the company's site in just a few hours (at 6 a.m. ET). It'll retail at the same US$99 price as the original. If the white option didn't feel like your style, this new black variant might be for you.

This is how Instagram plans to bring back the chronological feed

Instagram's head Adam Mosseri shared more details about the social media site's plan to bring back its chronological feed. In a Q&A on his Instagram Story released on Friday, he said the company is experimenting with two versions of the feature, which it is targeting to release "early next year."
