Waze and Headspace wants to help you find joy on your drives

Waze

Waze partners with Headspace to help you "discover the joy" during your drives, be more present behind the wheel, and arrive at your destination feeling good. The Headspace experience in the app offers custom navigation prompts from Headspace's mindfulness teacher and Director of Meditation, Eve Lewis Prieto. There are five new Moods: Aware, Bright, Hopeful, Joyful, and Open. And there's even a custom Spotify playlist from Headspace you can stream from Waze. If you want, you can even swap your in-app car for a hot air balloon.

The Headspace experience on Waze is available for a limited time. You can get it in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. To download the experience, click here—alternatively, you can tap "My Waze" to find the "Drive with Headspace" banner and tap to activate the experience.

Instagram debuts practice mode, scheduling for live streams

Instagram

Instagram wants to help turn your Live videos into a more professional-looking event with this new practice mode. To avoid Live video startup snafus, Instagram adds a new "Practice Mode" that lets you and your guests join the live sessions before these are broadcasted to your followers. It'll give you the time to check sound, light, and connection stability. This feature will be rolling out soon.

The social media site also plans to introduce a scheduling feature that lets creators notify their followers in advance. You can schedule a Live event 90 days before it starts, and then you can let your viewers know about this upcoming session. This feature is already rolling out to all creators.

Sunrise

Netflix wants you to check out the original Cowboy Bebop anime ahead of its live-action series adaptation. The streaming service acquired global rights for all 26 episodes. The anime's original voice actors will reprise their roles for the Japanese dub of the show, including Koichi Yamadera as Spike, Taiten Kusunoki as Jet and Megumi Hayashibara as Faye. The original composer Yoko Kanno and original director Shinichirō Watanabe are also involved in the Netflix show. The live-action adaptation stars John Cho as Spike, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, and Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine. And, of course, an adorable corgi as Ein.
