Amazon Astro is a new robot that can follow you around at home

Amazon has just launched a new home/companion robot that can follow you around the house thanks to it being on wheels. With its computer vision, it can also check on your home while you're away. It won't be able to play with your pets just yet, but it has a dedicated periscope cam that pops up from its head to check things out. Think of it as a roving security bot.

Netflix announces third season of 'The Witcher' alongside a kids series

Netflix wants to make the most out of The Witcher. The streaming service has already confirmed a third season of the fantasy series ahead of the second season's launch this December 17. During its recent Tudum event, Netflix teased plans for a second anime movie and a "kids and family" series. The latter seems like a weird pivot, given this fantasy world is steeped in violence and sex.

The streaming service didn't share what we can expect from these new spinoffs. But we're sure to hear more in the future anyway.
