Twitter no longer crops images

Twitter has gotten rid of its algorithm crops on pictures. So, if you upload a photo on iOS or Android, you'll see the image in its entirety. Those who take a lot of vertical pictures are very happy with this change, as CNET reported. Before this, the service's algorithm would determine the most sensible part of the picture to crop and just show a preview on the feed. And while it does take out the surprise element of previewed images, this change helps visual artists and photographers on the platform showcase their work in the way they're meant to be seen.

'Loki' Marvel series on Disney+ to come out two days earlier on June 9

In true chaotic Loki fashion, the new Marvel show will be coming out two days earlier than what was announced. Instead of June 11, Loki will be dropping on Disney+ on Wednesdays. As the god of mischief, it feels very on-brand for Marvel to release its newest Disney+ show on a different date than its predecessors, WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. You can watch Tom Hiddleston break the news in a Mean Girls-like way in the video above.

Deezer gets Apple HomePod and HomePod mini integration

Photo by James Yarema on Unsplash

Deezer subscribers who own Apple HomePod or HomePod mini speakers can now connect their smart speakers to the streaming service and make it the default player, too. Now, you can take advantage of Siri's voice controls to navigate your playlists on Deezer.

You will need to be a paying Deezer subscriber for this feature to work. If you are, head to the Deezer app on your iOS device that's running iOS 14.3 or later. Head to the settings cog in the top right corner and then scroll down and tap on "Connect with HomePod." And if you mainly use this streaming service to listen to your tune, you can make it your default player. Head to the Home Settings in the top left corner of the Apple Home app. Tap on your face under the People section and then head to Default Service, where you can choose Deezer.

Instagram begins rollout of captions sticker in Stories

Instagram

A useful accessibility feature is coming to Instagram Story users. The app has begun rolling out in a "handful of countries" the ability to use captions sticker in Stories. This feature automatically generates text for your audio, so users who don't have their sounds on can see what you're talking about. We've already seen this being tested before. According to Instagram, the feature will be coming to Reels soon. It won't just be helpful for those who want to see what's happening with audio on; it'll also help those who are hard of hearing to understand what's being said in the videos they watch.
