Ecovacs has launched the Deebot X2 Omni, a square robot vacuum mop, at the IFA 2023 event. This device is a premium upgrade from the previous model, the X1 Omni, and a price tag of €1,399 (around CA$2,042).

The Deebot X2 Omni stands out from other robot vacuums with its square shape, which enables it to clean corners and edges more effectively. It also has a slim design of 9.5cm in height, allowing it to access hard-to-reach areas under furniture.

Meet the Urbanista Malibu: A solar-powered Bluetooth speaker

Urbanista’s new Bluetooth speaker, the Malibu, has a solar edge. It uses Exeger’s Powerfoyle solar cells to extend its battery life, drawing charge from any light. It's set to cost US$149 (around CA204) when it launches in late September.

The Malibu's built-in 3,600mAh battery can last up to 30 hours on its own. But in the sun, it could stretch to 45 hours of playback. And indoors (near a window), it could go for six months without running out of juice. Urbanista thinks its speaker could last forever if used and recharged in sunny environments.

GoPro HERO12 Black now supports longer adventures and vertical videos

GoPro has unveiled its latest action camera: the HERO12 Black. And it gets some notable improvements. One is the longer runtimes with the Enduro battery and a new power management system. You can record up to 2x longer than the HERO11 Black (with the Enduro battery included).

It has a new 9:16 vertical capture mode for platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts. You can also use Bluetooth wireless audio devices like AirPods and microphones for better sound quality. And the GoPro HERO12 Black gets HDR photos and videos at 5.3K and 4K resolutions, with GP-Log encoding for more dynamic range. You can also sync timecode across multiple HERO12 Black cameras for easier editing.
