Samsung debuts new Shape speakers and sound bar

Samsung has released a compact version of the Shape M7 speaker and a new Soundbar for your home entertainment needs. The M5 speaker is said to be a three-driver speaker that can be used on its own or with other Shape speakers for multi-room or multi-channel surround sound. The HW-H750 Soundbar with wireless sub is capable of delivering multichannel sound of 320 watts and can be connected over Bluetooth to TVs that have Samsung’s TV Sound Connect feature through free Android or iOS app.

ASUS PadFone X coming to AT&T 

The PadFone, which is a smartphone docked into a tablet, is one of those 'why the hell not,' products that makes sense to some users who don't want to carry two separate devices but are okay with carrying one device that serves two purposes

The PadFone X is a 5-inch full HD smartphone that activates a 9-inch full HD tablet when the phone is docked. It runs Android KitKat 4.4. and features an elegant design with a brushed metal frame, a soft-touch back cover and dual front speakers that deliver captivating audio.

Pebble announces new 'steel' watch design and several app partnerships 

As we previously posted, Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky announced via pre-recorded video, a newer, more elegant Pebble smartwatch that the company plans to launch. Shipping January 28th, the stainless steel Pebble features several new upgrades including Corning Gorilla Glass and an LED that let's you know when the watch is plugged in and charging. The watch will cost just $100 more than its predecessor at $250 and is available for preorder now via getpebble.com.

As for partnerships, Pebble announced new apps from GoPro, Pandora, Audi, and their new Pebble App Store for developers to showcase and sell their products.

Mr. Migicovsky also mentioned that Pebble has hit the 300K milestone of products sold and is now on sale in more countries including Australia and Singapore.

Waterloo's Dandy Launches cross-platform “Picture This" app

Waterloo-based Dandy just  launched the winning application idea entitled “Picture This” for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and Google Glass.

Wrapping-up their wildly successful “60 Day Challenge”, which saw Dandy offer app creators the opportunity, as winners of the challenge, to take their idea and bring it to market in just sixty days.

The idea for Picture This was originally submitted to Dandy as "Picture Scavenger Hunt" by 19 year old engineering student Niger Little-Poole. Niger's idea was selected by Dandy after users came together from around the world to pick the app's name, tagline, UI design, branding, features and revenue model.
