MetaPro AR is the cool that Google Glass wants to achieve

If Google Glass had a cooler, older brother, and he wore smart glasses, MetaPro AR would be them. Unlike others' in the game, MetaPro AR are the most fashionable in wearable eyewear while packing a some pretty mean specs. MetaPro aims to deliver a “holographic experience", which lets you interact with the digital world in your field of view by using finger and gesture interaction.

Meta is currently working with developers on getting 500+ apps up and ready for the device. Pretty awesome for a first-generation product.

Now for the pricetag: MetaPro retails for just about $3,000 which is exactly double the current price tag of Google Glass. However, when you look at the spec. sheet (i.e. dual eye display, 2D rather than 3D, etc) the price is justified.

TELUS shows the greatest connection is a human connection

TELUS is pulling on my heartstrings with their latest holiday campaign. The company recently reached out to the public on social media and asked Canadians who they wanted to connect with this holiday season. After reviewing thousands of entries, four people were chosen and TELUS made their wishes come true.

Google puts out an interactive Moto Maker print ad

Moto Maker is the interactive website where Moto X customers can design their own Moto X smartphone. It is available only to customers in the US but Google, who owns Motorola, has done a bit of clever advertising with an interactive print ad (you read that right) that simulates the experience of designing your own Moto X. This one comes to Wired's January 2014 issue.

Windows Phone gets Xbox video and Music Apps

Xbox video and Music apps are now available on Windows Phone. The apps were recently made available and enable users to purchase and stream movies and TV shows from the Xbox Network. Any media you rent or purchase can be watched offline at your convenience (ideal for upcoming holiday travels). HD video is not yet supported on mobile but that's hopefully coming soon.
