Breaking: Images of Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatch emerge

VentureBeat has published images of what it believes to be the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch that's slated for release on September 4 in IFA, Berlin. Photo is of the prototype sent to developers and partners and while it may differ from the finished device, it could be very close to what we will see on Wednesday.

VentureBeat's source also presented them with detailed design studies and sketches as well as some specifications. The Galaxy Gear is said to be a health tracker with a camera. So, definitely not a smartwatch replacement but another health-focused accessory like a FitBit or a Nike Fuelband. Check out more images and all the details over at VentureBeat.
