WishList: Tivoli Audio Model One Radio

We heard the Tivoli Audio Model One Radio playing The Band's "The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down," at their retail store earlier and were so impressed by the crisp audio quality and the retro-cool design. Desktop AM/FM radios will never go out of style but Tivoli Audio's creations don't just look stunning, they sound really impressive.

Here's the Tivolu Audio Model One's spec sheet.

  • 3” full range speaker
  • 5:1 ratio analog tuning dial
  • AC/DC operation
  • Amber LED tuning indicator
  • Auxiliary input (compatible w/ iPod or other audio source)
  • Automatic frequency control
  • Stereo headphone jack

Samsung may yet allow ICS updates on Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab

After last week's news that the Samsung Galaxy S and the original 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab would not be getting the Android 4.0 'Ice Cream Sandwich' update because third party apps from carriers and also Samsung's own TouchWiz overlay take up too much memory to run alongside ICS. It seems that Samsung is seeing the wisdom of enabling the upgrade on the more than 10 million Samsung Galaxy S and the early tabs. While no official announcement has been made, It seems that Samsung is listening to the disgruntled users and may remedy the situation due to "strong customer demand."

The Korean news site ajnews quotes an industry official as saying that the company is currently reviewing whether the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab can support Android. We are keeping our fingers crossed that owners of these earlier devices can partake of the Ice Cream Sandwich buffet,

Review: Bracketron Suitegear Kit for iPad 2

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

One of the hardest accessories to decide on for the iPad 2 is a rear case that protects the aluminum backing while working with the magnetic Smart Cover. While a number of these exist and we've reviewed some of them, we find that they either add too much weight or are far from a perfect fit. We test Bracketron's $20 Suitegear Kit for the iPad 2, which offers a case plus a number of extras.
