Olympus' OM-D camera image leaks

Olympus has cemented its place in the Micro Four Thirds ILC camera segment with its PEN line of cameras and lenses. Now, it looks to revive another legendary line from its storied past, the OM  might be making a comeback and shooting straight for the prosumer-premium focused market where bodies alone start at $1,000.  The above photo looks like detail from an as of yet unreleased camera from 43 Rumours. All will be revealed February 8!

Apple eyes Education Publishing with iBooks 2 release

Apple today announced iBooks 2 for the iPad, iTunes U for educators and the iBooks Author bookdesign Mac App at an event held in New York's iconic Guggenheim Museum. Focusing on the education market, an area that has long been important to Apple's core, the new system aims to simplify the authorship of textbooks as well as how information is displayed and accessed through the iPad's multi-touch interface.

Kodak files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

It is a sad day for many who grew up around Kodak and its film, CD and digital products.

Reports that the company has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection. This is a sad, yet not altogether unexpected move. The rising tide of competition in digital cameras, which Kodak also pioneered, plus its lacklustre performance in newer industries like printers, digital photo frames and its inability to continue leveraging the sale of its patent portfolio have eventually done the company in.
