Apple: 3 Million iPads sold in 80 days

Apple announced that it sold its three millionth iPad yesterday, just 80 days after its introduction in the US an a month since it started shipping in Canada. iPad is a product that allows users to connect with their apps, content and the Internet in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before. There are currently over 3,000 iPad specific applications on the iPhone.

Amazon Kindle now priced at US $189

Responding to pressure from Barnes & Noble's Nook and Apple's iPad, Amazon has lowered the price of its Kindle 2 which is now available for $189.00. Canadians should note that conversion and shipping charges plus import taxes will apply. When we reviewed the Kindle in November last year it cost a total of US $312.
