Google Search helps you find that earworm by humming

Sometimes when you're trying to look for a song, you can only remember the melody or the cords. Google wants to help you find the track you're looking for with a new feature coming to Search. It will let you hum, whistle, or sing a melody to identify the song for you. All you have to do is tap the mic icon on the Google Search widget or head to the Google app and ask, "What's this song?" or click the "Search a song" button. 

The feature is available in English on iOS and in over 20 languages on Android, with plans to add more languages in the future.

OtterBox is making MagSafe-compatible iPhone 12 cases

If you're looking for iPhone 12 accessories outside of what Apple is offering, then OtterBox is one of the accessory makers to turn to. Not only did they partner with PopSockets to create cases that have PopTops built-in, but there will also be cases compatible with the iPhone 12's MagSafe magnetic charging system. Lenovo Smart Clock Essential retails for $69.99 in Canada

The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential is now available in Canada for $69.99. It's a "smart clock" as much as it is a Google Assistant-enabled smart speaker with a digital display. It can show you the time and weather on the LED screen, but you can expect no other touch interaction. There are buttons to let you set alarms as well as a "built-in light that helps you walk around without bumping into things."

With its price, the Smart Clock Essential is meant to occupy different spaces in your home. Its 3W speaker is more useful for sounds than casual listening, and you can pair it as part of a group. It also has a USB port to let you charge your other devices while you sleep.

Google launches YouTube Music app on the Apple Watch

As Google is set to shut down Play Music later this month, the company makes sure those few YouTube Music subscribers on iOS can have access to its service. The YouTube Music app is available on the Apple Watch. It's mostly access to the essentials, turning your Apple Watch into a music remote. But you can do things like browsing your music collection, controlling playback, and "Like" tracks. 

There's a complication that adds playback controls to the watch face, but not all watch faces support this feature. It will also let you cast a song from your phone to a speaker and even get recommendations based on your listening habits. It works similar to how Spotify's Apple Watch app works. You'll need at least a Series 3 or above running on watchOS 6 or above to use the app. And yes, you need an active YouTube Premium or YouTube Premium Music subscription, too.
