Gboard for iOS will now let you share YouTube clips and locations on Google Maps

Google is updating its Gboard keyboard app on iOS to add some pretty nifty features. The app now gets YouTube and Google Maps integration. So aside from being able to do web searches right from the keyboard, you can just now tap on the G icon and look for something. If the YouTube clip shows up or a location or address of a specific place from Maps is pulled up, you can just send it to the person you’re messaging. Aside from that, the app will now also let you draw or doodle with its new Ink feature. All you need to do is tap on the emoji button and tap on the pen icon. The keyboard app now also supports three new languages: Arabic, Hebrew, and Farsi.

Android might soon display battery levels of Bluetooth devices

If you use an LG, Samsung, or even OnePlus device, this feature isn’t news. But for those who use other Android phones, a new feature is coming to your devices. Google is planning to add support to display battery information for Bluetooth devices. A report from XDA-Developers says the feature will be in an API that would be part of a future version of Android. Google has added a new “method” it calls “getBatteryLevel()” as part of the “BluetoothDevice” class. This means you’ll get to see the battery level percentage of a supported Bluetooth device.

Leak shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in ‘Midnight Black’

The image above shows what the Galaxy Note 8 might look like. Reputable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) just posted the render of the upcoming Samsung phablet on his Twitter account. And we won’t be surprised if that’s what the final product looks like. Blass has been accurately sharing photos of unannounced devices accurately. As you can see, the silhouette is similar to what we see on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and it comes in what Samsung would call “Midnight Black.” We don’t have a look at what the rear might look like though. So, questions on whether it’ll have a dual camera setup at the back and whether the fingerprint sensor is still in the weird spot beside the camera sensor will have to be answered when the phone launches on August 23rd.
