LG V30 tipped for September 28th global release

The invite for the LG V30 launch hints at the possible shape of the new LG flagship

The LG V30 is going to be launched at the end of August at IFA in Berlin. As for the official release of the phablet, a leaked internal document shows plans for the new flagship, which they codenamed JOAN. It’s said that the V30 will go on sale in on September 15th in LG’s home country, South Korea. After that, the V30 is expected to go on pre-order in the US on September 17th and will go on sale on the 28th. The document also states that the global launch will be on September 28th.

Some of the leaked specs of the V30 include a 6-inch edge-to-edge OLED display with super thin bezels, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and 4GB/6GB of RAM wit 64GB of storage. The phone will supposedly also feature a dual camera setup with advanced video controls, 3,300mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities, dedicated DAC, and military standard protection.

Leaked render shows what the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active looks like

Earlier today, we got to see the leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and now we’re getting to see what the phone might look like. Evan Blass (@evleaks) showed off a new press render of the device. And it looks similar to the current Samsung flagships with its 18:5:9 aspect ratio but without the curved edges, which Android Authority points out makes it look like the LG G6. What do you think? ‘The Revenge of Shinobi’ comes to Android and iOS

In case you missed the news, the 1989 classic SEGA game The Revenge of Shinobi joins the SEGA Forever initiative. The program brings many of the classic SEGA titles to mobile devices. This time we’re getting the side-scrolling beat ‘em up. The Revenge of Shinobi, like the other SEGA Forever titles, will be free-to-play but will support ads. The game also lets you play it with a Bluetooth controller and play offline, which the other games can’t do. It has four difficulty levels and eight districts with its own unique boss battles. If you want to try it out yourself, it’s available on both iOS and Android.

Leaked training manual shows specs of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active

A leaked training manual for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active shows us just how rugged and powerful the phone can be. Android Police got their hands on the manual and it shows most of the specs you’d want to find out about it. It’ll run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, and Android 7.0 Nougat. It’ll have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 2,960 x 1,440 resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 64GB internal storage with microSD expansion, 4,000mAh battery, and 12-megapixel dual-pixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera.

Keeping true to its name, the Galaxy S8 Active will have both an IP68 certification and MIL-STD-810G US military standard. It’ll also come with Bixby built in and get its own button as well. There isn’t any word yet when it’s coming out and where.
