Aside from supposedly launching the regular Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ (a first for this series), Samsung will reportedly introduce a 5G version of the phone. Unlike previous rumours that both models will get a 5G version, it’s being reported that this model will be based on the Galaxy Note 10+. And SamMobile reports that there will be three storage configurations: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The latter will get 12GB memory. And this phone will supposedly be a Verizon-exclusive in the US.

There might be Google Assistant-powered headphones in our future

With Apple’s success with the AirPods, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Google might be thinking of offering its own pair. 9to5Google’s teardown of the Google app APK shows the possibility of a pair of “magic pairing” headphones that will be powered by Google Assistant. Codenamed Bisto, Android Authority says it first appeared back in April but it wasn’t clear what kind of device it could be. Strings of code show that it could possibly be a pair of headphones that work with Google Assistant: <string name=”bisto_magic_pairing_assistant_prop_text”>”Your headphones have the Google Assistant. Ask it questions. Tell it to do things. It’s your own personal Google, always ready to help.”</string>. It might also be able to read incoming notifications to you has these strings suggest: <string name=”expand_bundle4_1″>To hear them, press the Google Assistant button” and “<string name=”expand_bundle_1″>=”expand_bundle4_1″>To hear them, press the Google Assistant button” and “<string name=”expand_bundle_1″>.

These lines of codes show the headphones (or earbuds) could have two physical buttons: one activates Google Assistant, while the “top button” will activate verbal notification alerts. There are other strings in the teardown that say Bisto will get OTA software updates, which could probably be through Android Wear. If this does come to fruition, will you get a pair?

Leaked render shows what the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active looks like

Earlier today, we got to see the leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and now we’re getting to see what the phone might look like. Evan Blass (@evleaks) showed off a new press render of the device. And it looks similar to the current Samsung flagships with its 18:5:9 aspect ratio but without the curved edges, which Android Authority points out makes it look like the LG G6. What do you think? Do you prefer this look over the S8 with its curved edges?

Here’s a look at the cancelled Microsoft Surface Mini

Back in 2014, Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 3. But a few weeks before that announcement, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop scrapped the Surface Mini project. It seems like a right move that Microsoft cancelled the tablet though as they haven’t had much success in the tablet market. But if you’re curious about how it looks like and what it was supposed to be like. Here’s your preview.

Resembling a notepad of sorts, it was an 8-inch device with a 1,440 x 1,080 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. It even had a kickstand to it and a rubber-like exterior that would be available in different colors. It was designed to run on Windows RT and have the same support for the Surface Pen.
