Victoria, BC – Chevrolet Canada chose the bright and summery island of Victoria, British Columbia to stage their 2016 Chevy Malibu test drive program. 

Fortunate to have been selected as one of their media drivers to experience their latest vehicle, I was based at the luxurious Oak Bay Beach Resort, a stunning seaside resort that also happens to be the home of the David Foster Theatre Foundation. Oak Bay Beach fronts the ocean and has access to a various seaside roads which made it an ideal base for some great driving experiences.

Giphy Capture for Mac OS X lets you turn anything on your desktop into GIFs

Giphy introduced a new tool for Mac users that’ll make it easy for you to turn anything on your desktop into a GIF. It allows you to resize the capture area, add captions, or trim the GIF where you want to. You can use this for things like favorite parts of a video or even use it to make short how-to tutorial GIFs. Plus, the tool is completely free. You just need to head to the Mac Store to download it.

BMW integrates HTC Vive into its development process

Luxury car maker BMW has announced that they will be integrating HTC’s Vive virtual reality device as part of their vehicle development process.  The automaker said integrating this product will help them iterate designs much faster and implement changes quickly as well. BMW boasts they have been using VR systems since the ‘90s but using the Vive will be more cost-effective for them in the long run. BMW has been evaluating the Vive throughout 2015 by using several developer kits for various pilot projects since last autumn.
