First wave of IBM MobileFirst for iOS apps released by Apple and IBM

The momentous teaming up of former rivals IBM and Apple to push enterprise-grade solutions on iOS has yielded the first crop of applications. The apps include Passenger+ (above), which allows airline flight crews to offer personalized, in-flight services to passengers such as rebooking flights, accessing baggage information and providing special offers. Other mobile business apps now available through the collaboration between IBM and Apple are designed for customers in banking, retail, insurance, financial services, telecommunications and government.

Samsung brings Link Platform to Google Play Store

You probably know it by the name AllShare Play but Samsung has rebranded that into Link about a year ago. Now, the company also redesigned the app into Link Platform. The Link app is still on Google Play but this features a new look and will obviously get the newer features.

Link Platform is designed to connect your different Samsung devices (TVs, tablets, computers, etc.) so you can easily share data and files between them. Make sure your Samsung account is signed in on all devices to allow for sharing. The app also supports auto-uploads for folders and cloud storage.

Lamborghini unveils US$6,000 smartphone

While it is small, there is a niche market for extremely expensive smartphones. Look no further than the BlackBerry P'9883 or Vertu's own offerings. Now being thrown into that mix is the Lamborghini 88 Tauri. Priced at US$6,000, you get a leather- and steel-clad device with a 5-inch screen and runs on a quad-core Qualcomm 801 processor. It doesn't fall that far behind with the devices released earlier this year, specs-wise. So, if you have that much money to burn and you want a status symbol of sorts, there will only be 1,947 units of the 88 Tauri. We're sure the rich old guys you know would want one.

Clipless makes it easier for you to secure phones and tablets on your person

With phones getting larger and fashion not especially pocket-friendly (particularly for the ladies), there isn’t a way to carry your phone on you without a bag. That’s where Canadian Kickstarter Clipless comes in. It offers you a wearable mounting system that lets you secure phones to clothing or tablets on walls.

The project offers two packages: the clothing package and surface package. The clothing package lets you secure your phone to your clothes, inside a purse, or even a jogger stroller. Meanwhile, the surface package lets you mount your devices to a wall, mirror, or car dashboard.
