Fujifilm launches INSTAX mini 12 with a new lens and design

Image: Fujifilm

Fujifilm recently released a new iteration of its INSTAX mini camera, bringing a new lens feature and some design changes. The INSTAX mini 12's lens structure is its most notable change. You can now twist the lens to enter the Close-Up Mode instead of pushing a button, similar to a traditional point-and-shoot. This should make the zooming experience a bit more intuitive. You still can't turn off the flash, but a new automatic flash control should better optimize image quality in bright and low-light environments.

The INSTAX mini 12 now has a more rectangular body than its predecessor. But it still maintains the rounded edges of the mini 11. Its sides aren't that curved and are less wide, so holding it while taking photos is much easier. The mini 12 comes in some light colours, appealing to the younger users who typically get these cameras. It's available in white, pink, lavender, blue, and a new mint green. The INSTAX mini 12 will be launching in mid-March for USD 79.95 (around CAD 110).

Apple's new post-apocalyptic drama 'Silo' to debut on May 5

Apple has a new post-apocalyptic drama coming in May. And we have a teaser for the show. Silo, which is based on Hugh Howey's series of books, will debut on Apple TV+ on May 5. It tells the story of the last 10,000 people on Earth. They live in a bunker that's a mile underground, but it isn't known how or why the silo came to be. And the show hints at how trying to find out spells doom. The show stars Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Chinaza Uche, David Oyelowo, Harriet Walter, Tim Robbins, and Rashida Jones.

Nothing teases Ear (2) earbuds launch on March 22

Nothing is gearing up to release its next pair of wireless earbuds. The company has an event scheduled for 10 AM ET for the Ear (2). The company claims on its site that the Ear (2)'s will have "Better sound. Better clarity." and just be "better overall." We can supposedly expect a "mighty refinement."

From the looks of it, the Nothing Ear (2) earbuds will feature the same transparent aesthetic as the other Nothing devices. Right now, the company has three products out. We're fairly confident we'll hear more about these buds leading up to the debut as Nothing's founder Carl Pei has a penchant for drip-feeding information about products, as he's done with OnePlus in the past.
