AirPods’ wireless charging case rumoured to charge the earbuds to full in just 15 minutes

There’s a rumour going around it wouldn’t take too long to charge the AirPods with its wireless charging case. According to Twitter leaker Max Weinbach, the wireless charging case can get your AirPods from zero to 100% in just 15 minutes. Right now, the AirPods can get three hours of use with a 15-minute charge so this leap would be significant. The tradeoff supposedly is the case will be thicker and heavier so it can fit the Qi coils.  It’ll supposedly be slightly longer in one dimension. As previously rumoured, it’ll reportedly come within the next few months. 9to5Mac warns that Weinbach doesn’t have a proven record yet when it comes to leaks, so these claims must be taken with a grain of salt.

Sony officially drops PS Vita

Sony is no longer producing the PlayStation Vita. The company announced that it’s ended production on the console’s last two models over on its Japanese product page. Sony already announced early on that it would stop producing the PS Vita this year. Any physical game cards produced for the device would also be stopped at the end of the 2018 fiscal year, which is March 31, 2019.

Launched in 2011, the PS Vita didn’t quite catch on, selling only 16.1 million units, which as The Verge points out is a far cry from the previous PlayStation Portable that preceded it and the Nintendo Switch that followed it.

Warner Bros. announces 2022 release date for ‘Aquaman 2’

With the film grossing over US$1.1 billion worldwide, it comes as no surprise that Aquaman 2 is getting a sequel. The highest grossing DC film of all time for Warner Bros. is scheduled to get its sequel on December 16, 2022. It will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the first film with Will Beall. James Wan and Peter Safran will be producing the film. Aquaman starred Jason Momoa as the titular superhero, who is the son of a human lighthouse keeper and an Atlantean queen. The film’s cast also included Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Dolph Lundgren.

Warner Bros. is also developing another film in the Aquaman universe currently called The Trench. It is being described as a horror spinoff of the original film and focuses on the creatures in that underwater realm. Wan and Safran are also producing the said film.
