Share your ETA easily with Google Maps

Google Maps has a new feature that will make it easier for you to share your ETA with your family, friends, or other favorite contacts. If you share your location on ride-sharing apps, the principle is similar and your chosen contact can see how long it’ll take for you to get to your destination. The feature is coming to both Android and iOS. Once you start navigating to your destination, tap on the ^ button and then Share trip progress. From there, it’ll let you share your live location, route, and ETA. The update lets you share to third-party apps like Facebook Messenger, Line, WhatsApp, and more so you can reach your contact on their platform of choice. The app will automatically stop sharing your location once you reach your destination. This feature works not just for those who drive but for those who use walking or cycling navigation on the app as well.

Spotify introduces ‘Endless Artist Radio’ for Premium users

Are you a Spotify Premium subscriber? Well, you’re getting a new Endless Artist Radio stream, which lets you search for a playlist based on your favorite musician or song and get a matching endless music stream. According to Spotify these lists are “updated regularly to keep things fresh” and these can be downloaded for playing offline. Spotify has also redesigned its Search page to make it “the new one-stop destination for artists, albums, podcasts, and more.” It doesn’t matter if you know what you’re looking for or want to search for something new. At the top, you’ll see your Top Genres to help you with your music search.

The streaming service has also streamlined its navigation at the bottom of the app. Spotify simplifies and cuts it down to three sections: Home, where you can get recommendations; Search, where you can discover new stuff; and Your Library, where you can access all your favorite songs, artists, playlists, and podcasts. These features are coming to both iOS and Android users and has started to roll out to all Premium subscribers globally.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that it is establishing another artificial intelligence (AI) centre in Montreal, the second biggest city in Canada and home to one of the world’s fastest growing AI communities.

Today’s announcement compliments earlier news of multiple AI centres launched in North America and continues Samsung’s efforts in AI that include the development of Samsung’s virtual assistant, Bixby.
