We might still get a ‘Green Lantern Corps’ movie

DC Comics

Even with the recent shakeup in the DC film universe, it seems we might still have a Green Lantern Corps movie in our future. But whether that’ll happen anytime soon, David Goyer is a bit cautious about saying when. Goyer spoke to IGN during the 2018 winter Television Critics Association press tour and said the movie was “still in the works.” As for when we can expect updates on the film, Goyer had this to say, “I don't know. Who knows, especially with what's currently going on with the DC universe? There's obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now.” He is talking about the reported reorganization happening within DC Films following the underwhelming performance of Justice League in the box office.

‘Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown to star and produce an ‘Enola Holmes Mysteries’ film series

Gage Skidmore

Following her successful run as Eleven on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown is keeping herself busy outside of Hawkins. The breakout star signed a deal with Legendary Entertainment to star in and produce a feature film series based on Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries series. It’ll be produced by her production company PCMA Productions. Brown began a working relationship with Legendary after starring in the Michael Dougherty-directed Godzilla: King of Monsters sequel for Legendary and Warner Bros.

The book series, which spans six books, started in 2006 with The Case of the Missing Marquess. It follows mysteries being investigated by Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola, who seems to also possess the same smarts and knack for solving mysteries as her older brothers.

The ability to run 'Pokémon Go' is going away for older iPhones

It's getting tougher to own an older iPhone. If it isn't slowing down because of the necessary battery throttling, it is no longer capable of running the most popular apps and games. This is the case with Pokemon GO which will no longer work on iPhones that don't support iOS 11.

Niantic, who makes Pokemon GO, says that the popular monster hunting and collecting app will not be playable on iPhones from 2013 or earlier. That means iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c (and earlier). Reason for discontinuation is the addition of new features such as enhanced AR (augmented reality) and improvements which the older hardware just can't handle, yikes.
