Apple Music brings iOS 10 treatment to Android app

Apple Music on Android gets a significant update as version 2.0 of the app gets released. One of the biggest things is the redesign of the app to get a user interface similar to iOS 10 design. You can now see large headers to show which section of the app you’re in. The app has been simplified into four main categories: Library, For You, Browse, and Radio. Your playlists are now viewable via Library and the New section is now under Browse. In your Library, you’ll also be able to see easily your Downloaded Music. The Now Playing interface is similar to the iOS version and includes the card-like interface as well as the ability to read song lyrics as you listen to the song. The update is now rolling out to Google Play Store or through Apple’s site.

Apple has taken a lot of heat for its neglect of pro users who desire the fastest performance and modularity to be able to stay on top of the curve.

To address the issue, Apple invited a handful of journalists to discuss the perception that the company has abandoned the Mac in favour of focusing on more profitable products like the iPhone. This is a perception that's led to various competitors making moves in the high end of the PC space to gather disgruntled Apple pros into their fold. Microsoft and HP are just a few of the companies who have newer, more powerful and multifunctional high-end PCs they've skewed towards the pro and creative market.
