Flickr makes it easier to search for images

Hoping to boost the relevance of your searches, Flickr introduces what it calls “similarity search.” This new feature will help you look for photos that are visually similar to the one you’re currently looking at. The example it gave was doing a search for a cactus. When you input the search term, just hover over the image that looks the most like what you want. Afterwards, select the “…” menu. From there, you get an option to “Search for similar photos” and you’re good to go. This feature will hopefully help you find the images you want quicker.

Google Store now sells replacement Daydream View Facepads

If for hygienic purposes Google is now selling separately the removable Facepad of its Daydream View virtual reality headset. The gray Facepad is currently the only one available. If you’ve scored the Crimson or Snow Daydream Views, then it won’t match. But if that doesn’t really bother you and you just want a replacement, the Daydream View facepad sells for $18.99.

Instagram Stories tries out geostickers in two cities

Taking even more cues from Snapchat, Instagram now also has geostickers for its Stories feature. It’s currently live in two cities, though—Jakarta and New York. When you’re making Stories in either city and tap the sticker icon, you’ll see a customized sticker locations that supposedly “match the vibe” of the city. Having these geostickers can allow people to tap on them to see the location page. However, this doesn’t mean your sticker will show up on the location page itself. So for those in New York and Jakarta, the iOS and Android versions of Instagram have already updated to reflect this update.

Android app Day by Day helps you achieve goals

If you subscribe to Jerry Seinfeld's Don't Break the Chain productivity method, this Android app might help you out. Called Day by Day, it helps you mark off each day you spend time working on a goal. The app can help remind you to do said activity per day and shows a check mark if you achieve it. If you don't, then you break the chain. The app lets you add to goals for free. If you want to add more, you need to pay US$1.50.
