Netflix’s ‘The Discovery’ ventures into the afterlife

It’s all about life after death in the upcoming Netflix original movie The Discovery. Starring Robert Redford, Rooney Mara, and Jason Segel, the film is set a year after science has proven that there is an afterlife and millions of people have been committing suicide to cross over. It follows Redford as the scientist who discovered the afterlife, his son Will (Segel), and Isla (Mara), the woman Will has fallen in love with. The film will be making its debut at the Sundance Film Festival this Thursday and then will be available on Netflix and select theaters in the US on March 31.

First Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches from LG are set to debut on February 9

If we are to go by details released by Evan Blass a.k.a. @evleaks, Android Wear 2.0 will finally be debuting next month on two new flagship smartwatches from LG. It was rumoured before that these new watches would be branded as Pixel watches but it seems like that isn’t the case. It won’t even be co-branded with Google. The wearables will just be named LG Watch Sport and Watch Style. Both will have a digital crown button to help with navigation (similar to what you’d see on the Apple Watch), handwriting recognition, and Google Assistant integration.

Guerilla Cambridge closes, meaning no upcoming DLC for PSVR game ‘Rigs’

If you’re one of the early PlayStation VR adopters and are a fan of the mech-based multiplayer game Rigs, we have some bad news for you. The game won’t be getting any new content as its developer Guerilla Cambridge closed down. The closure suggests sales for the game aren’t quite up to Sony’s expectations. However, the online server for the game will remain unaffected and the game is still scheduled to get patches and other “community support.”

Guerilla Cambridge, formerly known as SCEE Cambridge, has been developing games for Sony for almost 20 years. The developer became known with the PlayStation classic, MediEvil. The closing of the company, plus the lack of announcements for Sony’s virtual reality platform at last month’s PlayStation Experience, doesn’t bode well for the platform. Sony hasn’t really shared how the PSVR has been doing so far. At the moment, the only major releases for PSVR include this month’s Resident Evil 7 and March’s Star Trek Bridge Crew.
