‘Rogue One’ gets one more trailer ahead of impending release

The new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story reminds us to trust The Force. It also shows us a closer look at the battle between the Rebels and Imperials. We’ve seen some of the footage before but we also get to see a young Jyn Erso being told to trust The Force, K-2SO’s nonchalance, and blind warrior monk Chirrut Imwe’s second sight and how he uses it in battle—among other things.  Rogue One is set to hit theaters on December 16.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 adds new workout tracking features

Samsung has released a new set of features for the Gear Fit 2 to help track your workouts a bit better. The wearable now has an auto pause function that detects when you’ve stopped in the middle of a run or workout. It’ll pick up where you left off once it notices you’ve resumed. The Gear Fit 2 can now also track high-intensity exercises such as basketball, table tennis, dancing, football (international version), and badminton. And once you exceed 10 minutes of these sessions, the wearable categorizes these as a Dynamic Workout.

The Gear Fit 2 aims to get better at monitoring your indoor exercises as well, especially those that have repetitive sets. You can input the number of repetitions you want to do and set those for crunches, lunges, squats, and star jumps. The tracker will then start monitoring your progress as soon as you begin. It’ll also let you know appropriate break intervals between sets. The update is rolling out now internationally.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe isn’t coming to Canada

If you’ve been eagerly waiting for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, we regret to inform you that the powerhouse device isn’t coming to this country. ASUS company representatives have confirmed the cancellation of the phone’s arrival. But they didn’t say the reason behind this. Perhaps it could be a lack of confidence that the phone will sell well.

It comes with a CA$699 price tag but it doesn’t seem like an unreasonable amount for a phone that packs in a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM, and a 23-megapixel rear camera. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe was initially set to go on sale this month at a wide range of national retailers. It’s too bad the Taiwanese brand decided to pull the release of the phone.

Upcoming ‘No Man’s Sky’ update promises to bring base building

The release of No Man’s Sky has drawn a lot of flak from players that felt like the game didn’t deliver what it promised. The great thing with games these days is updates arrive to help fix any issues or improve on said game. On that note, Hello Games announced an upcoming update that will bring things such as base building. It’ll be part of what Hello Games is calling “The Foundation Update.”

This update has been in the works for nine weeks but Hello Games warns players that they shouldn’t expect an entirely different in-game experience right away. The game developer calls it “the start of something” instead of a fully-formed update that changes the way you play. Hello Games also addressed the criticism they’ve been getting and says they’re focusing on improving the game instead of getting into debates.
