We love our coffee and according to the Coffee Association of Canada, two-thirds of adult Canadians enjoy at least one cup of coffee a day with the average of 3.2 cups daily. It's the most popular beverage consumed amongst Canadians over the age of 16. Most of us consume our first cup of coffee at breakfast time (I sometimes enjoy my third by lunch).

Sony World Photography Awards judges and first selection of images revealed

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the Sony World Photography Awards - the world's largest photography competition. Today, the first selection of images were revealed. Entries are said to capture all aspects of the world we live in from grand architecture, fascinating underwater scenes and cultural celebrations as well as spectacular shots from the animal kingdom and creative digital images. 

Judges include esteemed experts from across the photographic industry who will come together to uncover celebrate the best images shot in 2016 across categories including Professional, Open, Youth, National Award and Student Focus.

‘Forza Horizon 3’ comes to life with cross-country event

Xbox Canada is celebrating the launch of Forza Horizon 3 by taking the game to the actual streets. They’ll be travelling from Vancouver, British Columbia to Montreal, Quebec in this Forza Horizon-inspired event. It won’t just be a straight road trip, too. There will be pit stops along the complete with real-life challenges using cars inspired by the game. Expect things like climbing Vancouver’s highest peak in a Jeep Wrangler and a McLaren 570S being pushed to its limits at Shannonville Motorsport Park.

And Xbox is inviting users to vote on the challenges they will take on. You can vote by following @XboxCanada on different social media platforms and tracking the hashtag #AcrossTheHorizon. Forza Horizon 3 will be launching on September 27. If you want to experience the game before that, head over to select EB Games locations across the country.

Facebook to soon let users broadcast Live videos from desktops and laptops

Looks like Facebook is really bringing the fight to Google. Facebook has been rolling out the ability to broadcast live streams right from a laptop or desktop. Facebook user Delilah Taylor noticed the Live Video option appear on her status update composer while she was using Facebook on her desktop. Facebook has confirmed with SocialTimes that they’re starting to rollout this feature. According to SocialTimes’ source, both peripheral and built-in cameras will be supported.

Taylor described her experience in the video saying, “When I first clicked live video, it didn’t do anything. You’ve got to put in a comment, and then you hit next, and when you hit next, it will bring up a secondary screen, which kind of looks like a Google Hangout screen, and you can adjust your camera and microphone … Then you hit ‘Go Live.’”
